Most of us have a dream that we like to get lost in. A thought of doing something completely different. Traveling. Breaking out of everyday life, to have more time for each other.

For the Schermann family, the dream was about to come true. They decided to leave the hamster wheel, sold what they owned and exchanged their life on land for a life at sea.

In May, the family set sail on board Cataleya, the boat that will be their home for the next two years.
When everything you own and need has to fit on a sailboat, the packing list has to be short.

That's why it meant a little extra to us when the family told us that a Skappel garment was among the things they wanted to bring with them. Their story inspired Dorthe to design a very special sweater for the trip. A sweater that has been named after the boat: Cataleya.

Knitted in Norwegian lambs wool, with a roomy, oversized fit and a pattern inspired by the sea and life on board. Made for changing weather, windy days on deck and cool evenings, but also to be able to crawl into after an evening swim, when the sun goes down and you just need something warm around you.
