Skappel is a Norwegian family-owned company that designs and sells knitting kits featuring our own Skappel yarn and original patterns. We also offer ReadyMade knitted sweaters and knitting accessories.
Skappel began with one simple sweater — a design so accessible that anyone could learn to knit it themselves. What started as a single garment has grown into a long journey of collections, evolving expressions, and different yarn qualities.
Over time, we have grown into a small team of 10 people who together continue to develop and shape the Skappel universe. Today, we offer knitting projects in a range of difficulty levels — designed for both complete beginners and experienced knitters looking for new challenges. With us, you’ll find a project that suits you.

OUR YARN
Today, we offer our own Skappel yarn made from Norwegian lambswool. We create yarns in inspiring colors, with quality and durability that allow garments to be worn again and again.

In recent years, we have chosen to move away from producing our own alpaca and mohair qualities, and instead focus exclusively on Norwegian wool. For us, this is about highlighting local raw materials, supporting Norwegian production, and contributing to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
