Description

The Koster sweater is a design made in collaboration with the Norwegian artist Emma Steinbakken. Koster is named after the idyllic islands in south of Sweden, and is inspired by the sea, sun and beautiful nature there. A light, oversized knit that combines pattern and cable knit for the perfect statement piece!

The sweater is knitted in Suri Norwegian Lambswool 1001 Natural White, 1029 Ochre and 1007 Mint.

The sweater is pictured in a size S.

The studio model is 175 cm and is wearing a size M.

Emma is 159 cm and is wearing a sweater with slightly shorter sleeve than the original pattern.

Construction

The sweater is worked bottom-up in the round with colorwork and cable knit. The body and sleeves are knit separately before they are joined for the yoke. The yoke is shaped with raglan decreases and then worked back and forth with decreases to shape the neckline. All stitches are bound off before stitches are picked up and knitted for the neckband.
