Skappel did not begin with a great business plan or the intention of creating a world of knitting. It all started with a simple sweater.

We called it the Skappel Sweater - named after our family. What began as a simple design turned out to be the gateway to knitting for thousands of people across the entire country.

Fourteen years later, we are bringing it back - not because it is the most spectacular sweater we’ve ever designed, but because it changed something. The Skappel Sweater proved that knitting doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to know everything before starting.

The most important thing is daring to start. The Skappel Sweater is the perfect knitting project for someone who has never knitted before, but also just as great for experienced knitters who want a simple project on their needles.

And perhaps the only thing better than a sweater you’ve knitted yourself, is the feeling of putting it on for the first time and thinking ”I made this myself”.
